Ioteelab was founded in 2017, when Hussam Mansour and Szabolcs Nagy united their unique expertise both from the technical and business worlds, in their shared passion of IoT.
Our vision is to revolutionize the waste industry by data, to digitalize and improve the services that have remained untouched by the fast paced development of technology.
It is our mission to continously improve our way of working and ensure a more sustainable future, where technology empowers our daily lives.
Our goal is to be within ten years, among the ten most successful start-ups operating within the IoT segment in the world and be the leader in the smart waste sector.
Hussam is a Business Developer at heart and has many years of experience working in startups, and fast-paced environments, where learning quickly from mistakes are crucial. As an entrepreneur, Hussam has a passion for tech startups working with green environmental solutions and is determined to make a difference in the world through his work. His main interests lies in IoT and AI powered solutions. Hussam strongly believes that a connected future will help unlocking new sustainable business models. He has published several papers on IoT and business model innovation, and most recently a new IoT Business Model tool for commencing users. Hussam believes that with his continuous learnings within mercenary and technical fields he will be able to better contribute a greener globe.
Szabolcs is a technology enthusiast with an eye for design. He holds an M.Sc in Technology Based Business Development and a B.Sc in Electronic Design Engineering from Aarhus University, with many years of experience working with software, hardware and electronics. He has participated in various hackathons, with mentionable awards, such as the People's choice award in the NASA Space Apps Challenge. Technology has, throughout the years, helped humanity reach higher and higher peaks of development. Szabolcs strongly believes that technologies such as IoT and Machine learning will be crucial in solving the key societal challenges, leading to a better life for everyone.
Mirko is an IoT Expert and Associate Professor in Digital Business Development at the Department of Business Development and Technology (BTECH) at Aarhus University. Mirko's research focuses on applying Next Generation Internet, Open Data and the Internet of Things principles and technologies to Business Development. He has a PhD background in Physics with Astrophysics as well as Telecommunication Engineering and Communication Systems. Mirko is an expert in the fields of the Internet of Things, Open Data and Mobile Networks.
Sead is an entrepreneurial leader with over 10 years of experience, working with digital technologies and business growth in startups, multinational companies and collaborative innovation projects. He is currently part of digital transformation team at Grundfos Group, driving key activities for business growth. Sead is founding member of International IoT Forum, participating in Alliance for IoT Innovation (AIOTI) activities and speaker at international events addressing digital tech, startups and business transformation.
Thomas is currently the CEO of Kite Invent, a company focused on improving healthcare through innovation. He has previously worked as the Product Director and part of the executive board at Cetrea (now Maquet, Getinge Group), where he worked with and directed marketing, innovation, design and development. Before founding Cetrea Thomas worked in academia for six years doing his Ph.D. in healthcare and interaction design. Thomas also proudly serves as a mentor at the InnoFounder incubator, regularly helping, guiding and pushing his mentee startups.
Martin is currently the VP of Product Commercialization at Vestas, where he has also worked previously as a Chief Strategist, VP of Marketing & Consumer Insight, Global Commercial Management and Sales excellence among others. Martin has also worked as an Independent Consultant, as Head of Global Marketing at GRUNDFOS and has also worked for 5 years at the Boston Consulting Group. He has been a part of the Venture Cup mentor program, where he works with young entrepreneurs and supporting the professional development of their competences, ideas and businesses.
